About
Yu
I take apart off-the-shelf products and existing systems, work out how they behave, and remake them for what I need. Where I dig deepest is industrial 3D printing.
I like working through materials, slicer settings and firmware from the physics up — heat, flow and cooling. What I learn, I turn into tools and guides that other people can use too.
What I do
- Dialling in FDM / FFF print settings, and tracking down the causes of print failures
- Slicer settings and profile conversion (Research)
- Modifying and building 3D printers, mostly around Klipper
- Building tools that keep work moving (MCP servers, automation, AI agents)
How I work
- Measure before optimising. Use things as they are first, and build a system only around the friction that keeps coming back.
- Make changes in stages.
- Curiosity and the fun of it come first; usefulness follows.
- The only comparison that matters is with my past self.

The name yunoxia
It's the name of this site and of what I do. It's a coined word: "yu" (you / 優 / 遊) + "no" + "quxia". "quxia" comes from a language that doesn't exist — a word with meaning but no intent behind it.
